Mrs. HoSang’s Dumpling Surprise
In Loving Memory of Jeanette HoSangMom was so excited to introduce her "Dumpling Surprise" at JerkQ'zine Caribbean Grille. All who have tried her fried dumplings, whether plain or filled, fell in love with them. Once you had one, you couldn't stop eating them.Mom loved to feed people and see the smiles on people's faces after enjoying her creations. We hope you enjoy making mom's dumplings and see why you can't just have one.
Ingredients
Dumpling Dough
- 1 Package Caribbean Food Delights Dumpling Mix
- Water or Milk
Prepared Fillings
- Ackee & Saltfish
- Bully Beef (Corned Beef)
- Callaloo & Codfish
Instructions
- Prepare the dumpling dough as directed on package instructions.
- Divide dough. Roll each piece of dough into a disk with the center a little thicker.
- Place 1-2 tsp of prepared filling (ie. Ackee & Saltfish, Bully Beef (Corned Beef), Callaloo and Codfish)
- Pinch edges of dough closed to form a ball.
- Fry in oil.
