DRIVER

This state-of-the-art facility is SQF certified. We are looking for/seeking a reliable, dependable Driver with a clean driving record to join the team in our Shipping/Receiving/Logistics department. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Transport goods between company facilities and locations, using company vehicle
- Move trailers within the Tappan facility, for efficient loading and unloading of pallets
- Load and unload trailers using the forklift or electric pallet jacks, as required
- Transport raw materials (boxed items) from one location to another, ensuring safe and timely delivery
- Complete over the road deliveries, including pick-ups of additional materials from designated locations
- Inspect vehicle and equipment before and after trips to ensure safety and compliance; report any issues to the manager; maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and communicate, effectively, with dispatch and warehouse teams
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety protocols

MAINTENANCE MECHANIC – FIRST & SECOND SHIFTS
Caribbean Food Delights, a high speed frozen food manufacturing plant located in Tappan, Rockland County, NY, seeks a hands-on mechanic with minimum 5 years related work experience for the first & second shifts, to assist in the upkeep of the plant’s equipment in accordance with best practices, diagrams, manuals and manufacturer specifications and ensure that machines and equipment are operating in a safe and effective manner at all times.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
· Follow and adhere to GMP and safety rules of the company; follow and adhere to confined space procedures set forth by the company.
· Check boilers and HVAC systems to ensure that they are working correctly each morning and evening, before start-up and shut down, respectively.
· Check to ensure that air compressors and refrigeration systems for production are at the correct temperatures, at start-up time each day.
· Disassemble and assemble kettles, start machines and observe gauges and other instruments on machines, to ensure adherence to processing standards; clean and lubricate machines, using rags, brushes and grease guns, wherever necessary, on a daily basis.
· Disassemble and assemble Rademaker and Colborne lines, using wrenches, pliers and other hand tools supplied to work on these lines, daily.
· Set ‘dyes’ on Rademaker and Colborne lines, according to specifications during daily startup.
· Check lighting system throughout the plant, weekly; replace bulbs where necessary.
· Conduct preventative maintenance on Sifters of both Silos, on a monthly basis.
· Check equipment components for repair or replacement; clean, lubricate equipment, regularly.
· Organize and maintain inventory of all components needed for the maintenance of equipment.
· Examine all machines and equipment to ensure that they are consistently, operating within specifications.
· Evaluate equipment and machinery performance and recommend improvements to the Engineer or the President.
· Set up equipment and conveyors by adjusting to product specification; test set up.
· Maintain packaging quality by inspecting in-process and finished production; verify specification, identify any problems and make necessary adjustments.
· Clean and lubricate equipment on a regular basis and align equipment parts, if necessary.
· Check for machine performance and keep records of repairs and maintenance and refer to these records during inspection and repairs.
· Perform repairs and general upkeep of CFD’s overall facility, regularly.
· Order replacement parts and materials, using CFD’s product order procedure.
· Prepare and maintain records and reports on an on-going basis.
· Ensure that all tools used to perform work during the work day are returned to the shop, at the end of each work day.
· Comply with OSHA/USDA/HACCP Safety and Health rules, at all times.
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
· Perform any other duties for Caribbean Food Delights and the related companies as assigned and unilaterally determined by CFD.

SANITATION/MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN – 3RD SHIFT

We are looking for a Sanitation and Maintenance Technician to work overnight to assist in overseeing the Sanitation Team and CFD personnel to ensure the timely handover of the facility to Production for daily production start-up activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
· Ensure proper equipment sanitation and efficient start-ups and shutdowns, through an understanding of the manufacturing process and equipment /parts design.
· Monitor and enforce compliance to safety program including lock out/tag out, chemical safety, chemical SDS, continually monitor department adherence to required PPEs.
· Inspect facility and equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and plant standards; document and report no-conformities to QC/Maintenance.
· Prepare and handle CIP chemicals and equipment.
· Ensure that all areas of the plant are properly sanitized and in good repair.
· Participate actively, in food safety and plant audits and third-party audits.
· Lubricate machinery according to maintenance schedule provided to ensure timely start-up.
· Provide pest control support, working with pest control provider to ensure that corrective actions are closed out in a timely manner.
· Monitor boiler operation and perform minor repairs

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Answer phones clearly and politely on first or second ring to ascertain reason for call and assist the caller. Page clearly and loudly, when necessary, check general mailbox daily to review and forward messages to appropriate employees.
· Greet visitors and clients pleasantly and courteously, determine their needs and provide prompt, appropriate assistance.
· Assist with the processing of on-line/internet sales, all telephone orders using order form to record information.
· Assist with keeping the supply room organized and neat, at all times.
· Assist with the monitoring of bioterrorism and food security; maintain visitor’s log book (signing in/out, giving visitor badges). Observe surveillance and general security on a regular basis.
· Maintain printers, fax, photocopying, and laminating machines, to ensure they have adequate supplies for proper functioning. Communicate any equipment problems to Office Management immediately, in order for service calls to be placed for equipment repair.

FACILITIES MECHANIC

This role supports the daily operations by performing basic maintenance, repairs and inspections to ensure that equipment, building and work areas are safe, clean and functioning efficiently.at all times.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING
· Perform routine and preventive maintenance on facility structures, including walls, floors, ceilings, doors, docks, and office areas
· Complete minor repairs involving plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, HVAC components, and mechanical equipment
· Repair or replace fixtures such as faucets, valves, hoses, guards, handrails, shelving, tile, and flooring
· Assist with maintenance of food production and packaging equipment under supervision
· Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and report larger or specialized repairs to maintenance management
· Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify wear, damage, safety hazards, or sanitation concerns
· Maintain building exterior areas including walkways, drains, loading docks, and waste areas

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Answer phones, screen calls to ascertain the reason for the call, assist the caller and/or pass on important calls to executives; check mailbox daily, to review messages and forward messages to appropriate executive.
· Greet visitors and clients pleasantly and courteously, determine their needs and provide prompt, appropriate assistance; screen visitors to ensure that they have scheduled appointments with executives.
· Manage and maintain CEO and COO’s calendar/schedule on an on-going basis.
· Handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality and diplomacy.
· Maintain electronic and physical filing systems, as assigned.
· Coordinate and schedule travel, meetings, events and appointments for executives; build detailed itineraries.
· Prepare agenda and schedules for meetings; record and distribute minutes or other records for meetings.
· Take notes in meetings, when necessary or as directed by executives.
· Run errands, i.e., pick-up food/supplies for company events, meetings, etc.
