What You’ll Do

What You Bring

DRIVER

This state-of-the-art facility is SQF certified. We are looking for/seeking a reliable, dependable Driver with a clean driving record to join the team in our Shipping/Receiving/Logistics department. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Transport goods between company facilities and locations, using company vehicle
- Move trailers within the Tappan facility, for efficient loading and unloading of pallets
- Load and unload trailers using the forklift or electric pallet jacks, as required
- Transport raw materials (boxed items) from one location to another, ensuring safe and timely delivery
- Complete over the road deliveries, including pick-ups of additional materials from designated locations
- Inspect vehicle and equipment before and after trips to ensure safety and compliance; report any issues to the manager; maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and communicate, effectively, with dispatch and warehouse teams
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety protocols

We are seeking a hands-on, results focused Production Supervisor and team player, with minimum three (3) years of related work experience in Food Production, to assist in the day to day efficient management and supervision of the plant’s production processes and employees, for the first shift.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Supervise and participate in all phases of production, i.e., pre-operation, make-up, packaging and preparation for the cleaning process, as necessary; move from area to area to ensure that all work in progress and the various processes are being carried out efficiently.
- Ensure that HACCP, GMPs and other food safety practices are being followed, daily
- Maintain appropriate plant sanitation, safe working conditions and proper food handling practices and procedures in the plant; ensure that all plant equipment is properly washed, sanitized and ready for each day’s production.
- Check and verify machine controls for accuracy and performance, daily.
- Interact with mechanics to ensure that all equipment are in proper working condition at all times and schedule necessary repairs.
- Set up working systems which minimize the loss of packaging materials during the production process.
- Supervise production staff; assist in training and motivating employees, as required.
- Communicate with peers and/or senior management regarding major production decisions.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
An Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing a company's financial obligations to vendors by accurately processing invoices, verifying purchase orders, reconciling discrepancies, preparing payments, and maintaining detailed records to ensure timely and correct payments to suppliers, while also monitoring expenses and optimizing cash flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process invoices daily, carefully reviewing all pertinent information (purchase orders, receipts, reports, packing slips, etc.) to verify information, prior to the issue of payment.
- Contact vendors to resolve invoice issues, request missing information, or negotiate payment terms.
- Process monthly commissions for CFD Brokers, making applicable deductions.
- Prepare check runs weekly for CFD and RCB.
- Reconcile, on a regular basis, vendor accounts payable balances to ensure accuracy and identify potential issues.
- Investigate and reconcile any unknown deductions and file claims with our customers and vendors.
- Reconcile inter-company accounts as required.
- Generate and analyze reports on accounts payable activity, including aging reports and outstanding balances.
- Review and analyze all credit cards to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain accurate and organized invoices, purchase orders, and payment records.
- Monitor daily accounts payable mail (electronically and regular mail).
- Maintain relevant accounting files and records, consistently.
- Perform any other related duties for Caribbean Food Delights and the related companies as assigned and unilaterally determined by Caribbean Food Delights.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate Degree in Accounting or equivalent

FOOD TECHNOLOGIST- 2nd SHIFT
Frozen food manufacturer located in Tappan, Rockland County, NY, seeks immediately, a Food Technologist with minimum 3 years related work experience for a second shift, to assist with the performance of prescribed quality control tests, maintain corresponding records and create associated certification and/or control charts for raw materials, products and related processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Enforce HACCP, GMPs and Safety standards throughout the facility to ensure compliance.
- Perform routine facility walkthroughs and communicate findings with Quality Control Manager
- Perform Pre-operational, operational and post operational checks
- Conduct and participate in internal and third party audits.
- Review daily prerequisite food safety and quality control records
- Follow and improve quality control SOP’s and prerequisite programs
- Oversee all aspects of sanitation as per the Master Sanitation Schedule and ensure that tasks are effectively completed
- Report quality problems or findings to Quality Control Manager and follows up to ensure that corrective action has/will take place
- Assess the product specifications and test them with customer requirements.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all products manufactured by the plant as well as the raw materials, packaging materials, and operations required in the manufacturing process including quality specifications and standards.
- Assists and/or train production employee on work, food safety and quality procedures as required.
- Performs verification on of HACCP records, prerequisite records, other relating to food safety quality control program.
- Monitor and approve supplier performance
- Handle ATP and allergen control testing
- Review labels and raw materials, routinely.
- Supervise line checkers and QC assistant to ensure timely checks and tests are being done accurately.
- Ensure product compliance with regulatory agencies and ensure that the company is adhering to quality standards; guide production staff about quality standards.

- Maintain, update and control accurate documentation of all records.

PRODUCTION LINE CHECKER
Department: Production & Quality Control
Reports to: Production & Quality Control Manager
Type of position: Full-time
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Quality Control Manager and the Production Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring that the items that are produced on a daily basis, adhere to an established quality standard.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Check lot code, packaging, label for each line prior to the start of production. Report any necessary corrections to QC and Production Manager prior to the start of packaging; when line starts, verify again, code printed in inner and outer cartons notify Production & QC Manager (or their representatives) if outer code is incorrect.
- Check products – raw and baked net weight, every hour, record and inform supervisor if they are off specification.
- Check product filling weight every hour, record and inform QC/Production Line Operator of any discrepancies.
- Check Fat percentage at least 3 times per day, record and if not in acceptable range, inform machine operator.
- Check dough temperature from mixer and shortening temperatures per batch, record and inform supervisor of any discrepancies.
- Check finished product packaged weight, box seal, paper seal and coding every hour, record and inform QC.
- Inspect finished product quality for appearance, record and inform operator if product needs to be adjusted.
- Monitor CCP for Kettle chilling and baking as per batch, record and report any discrepancies to QC.
- Monitor CCP for Spiral/Tunnel Oven baking and Spiral chilling hourly and report any unusual activity to QC.
- Report to QC if product is out of specs or any deviation in HACCP CCP.
- Check cleanliness of equipment, along with production staff, at the end of the day; take corrective action.
- Check sanitizer concentration at the end of the day, record and report if out of specification.
- Check flour tailings at end of day, record and report anything that is out of specification.
- Check knife reconciliation at the end of the day, record and report any missing or damaged knives.

We are looking for a hands-on Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse/Inventory Assistant Manager with 3-5 years of related work experience, to assist in overseeing the Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse and Freezer Inventory control activities, including cycle count; will be also responsible for the accurate receipt of incoming orders and the accurate disbursement of orders as per purchase order agreement. Lead, train and supervise employees in the department.
Prepare & load merchandise on to trucks.
Receive, inspect and accept inbound freight orders, store orders.
Record lot numbers for outgoing shipments and track shipments
Supply the production department with raw materials
Wrap and remove finished products from production floor and store in freezer
Conduct freezer and warehouse inventory
